Obituary for Anne Husebekk: A driving force in the North has left us

It is with great sorrow that UiT The Arctic University of Norway has received the news that former rector Professor Anne Husebekk has passed.

The former UiT rector passed away on December 5, 2025, after being diagnosed with a severe cancer illness earlier this year. She was 69 years old.
